Margaret Kaoi has donated a workshop painting demo of Chinese Ink Painting for the River Road Show. We plan on matting it and using as a prize. The deadline for entry is September 2, 2008. VOLUNTEERS wanted to help work the Opening Doors Art Camp which is every day from about 9:30 am to 3 pm on July 7-25. This annual camp reaches out to students in middle or high school, who would not ordinarily have an opportunity like this without assistance. Each year one big group project is produced. Murals from prior years are on permanent display at BR Metro Airport, the Bluebonnet Library and Robert E. Lee High School. Volunteers do not have to sign up in advance. Bring your art project with you to work on at the studio, since you will have time during the camp sessions.
